From the high drama of soaps to the high drama of reality TV, I've spent the last 25 years immersed in the world of television storytelling. I've won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series Writing Team and a WGA Award for Daytime Serials.

Daytime was my writing bootcamp. Five days a week, 52 weeks a year, I churned out intricate plot lines and character arcs that kept viewers coming back for more. With just a week to craft each episode, I learned to thrive under pressure and still deliver quality work.

Then came an unexpected plot twist in my own career: reality TV. As an Executive Producer, I faced a new storytelling challenge. Instead of starting with a blank page, I had mountains of unscripted footage to shape into compelling narratives. It wasn't writing as I knew it, but the core storytelling elements remained. Surprisingly, reality TV elevated my writing skills. It was like being handed a box of mismatched puzzle pieces and tasked with creating a picture that not only made sense but captivated an audience. This experience taught me to spot story potential in unexpected places and connect seemingly unrelated elements into a cohesive narrative.
